Happy New Year! We are pleased to start 2019 with an exciting announcement: The Graduate Center has added another new master’s program, this time in Biography and Memoir. This is the first program of its kind in the United States. The M.A. in Biography and Memoir will prepare students for careers as biographers or memoirists, documentary filmmakers, oral historians, and more, as well preparing them to continue in academia by applying to Ph.D. programs. A collaboration of the English Ph.D. program, the History Ph.D. program, and the Leon Levy Center for Biography, this interdisciplinary master’s degree is an exciting addition to the growing number of master’s programs we have here at The Graduate Center.
We invite you to learn more about all of our master’s programs, including Biography and Memoir, at our upcoming Open House on February 4th at 6pm. All 15 master’s programs will have representatives in attendance, and there will be a short panel discussion by Graduate Center faculty. Space is limited, so RSVPs are required.
The Graduate Center’s Office of Admissions wishes you a 2019 filled with personal and academic success, and we hope that you will reach out with your questions about any of our Ph.D. and master’s programs. Check the Admissions calendar for any upcoming on-campus open houses or off-campus graduate fairs that we will be attending.
