For the first time, students who apply to the Graduate Center’s interdisciplinary M.A. in Liberal Studies (MALS) program can qualify for a merit-based scholarship that covers the equivalent of six credits for their first four semesters of study (at the in-state rate). This is worth 80% of in-state tuition costs for a 30-credit degree. All applicants for the Fall 2017 semester will be considered, so get your application in today.
The MALS program encourages rigorous, cross-disciplinary work and allows students to take classes from throughout the Graduate Center’s Ph.D. and M.A. programs in the Social Sciences and the Humanities. There are over twenty subject tracks to choose from, including Individualized Studies for those who don’t fit in a pre-existing one and want to create their own! Learn more about the program by checking out the program page and browsing the tracks and by attending one of our upcoming MALS Open Houses (students who attend an Open House receive an application fee waiver).
